You Did It

{{#set: location = David Shu's apartment }}{{#set: location = Hamilton Beach }}{{#set: location = Royal Botanical Gardens }}

David Shu's apartment, Hamilton Beach, Royal Botanical Gardens, timestamp::2011/07/21 (played session date::2011/08/10)

In which a day at the beach is required, an escape route investigated, and a window enlarged.

This episode began with Jack Marks and David Shu trying to find relief from the heat that is plaguing Hamilton. After finding that most of the city had shut down due to a heat advisory, Jack headed down to the beach, followed by David shortly afterward. Meeting up at the beach, both Jack and David head over to the Royal Botanical Gardens to check out the ash trees that the mysterious recipient of the package two nights ago (dubbed the Ash Walker) used to appear and disappear.

Thanks to Jack running interference, David was able to find out a little bit more about the Walker. It turns out that the two trees are part of a network of pathways called the rootways, connecting locations in the mortal realms and beyond. David was able to determine that the pathway the Ash Walker took to leave the Gardens had its other end anchored in the Nevernever.

After retreating back to David’s apartment to do some more research, a rather nasty fey-ghoul thing crashed through the window and proceeded to re-decorate David’s ribcage while Jack mercilessly beat it with an iron pot and hot fry oil. {{#ask: |You Did It |?title |?chapter number |?blurb |?empty |?label |?image |?parentordinal | sort = chapter number | link = none | format = template | template = SMW campaign chapters level 3 }}
