[When a Winter changeling finds the Gray Tarot, [Allan Tarik], the Autumn Knight, is sent by the Autumn court to collect the cards. But as he does so, he discovers that fortunes are being forced into being, and Allan has had the Tower card drawn for him.

[Will Allan be able to succeed? And can he trust the man who has declaired himself an ally, or is [David Shu] working for winter? Allan's firey temper collides with David's pragmatism.

[Drawn by the dreams of strife, [Maia] walks into the middle of Gore Park to find David and Allan at each other's throats. With her tempering influence, the three manage to work together to return the lost deck.
