I've been having a dream, almost every night. I'm sweeping up the store after a busy day, and there's a knock on the door. It's a customer from last week. They're angry because a reading I gave them came true. I had told them that a departed relative felt they had done badly in some way, and then they found an old letter from the departed saying exactly that. Or I said that a spirit was restless, and their house started showing signs of being haunted. In each dream it was different, but always my reading came horribly, horribly true.
The scariest part is that now it's starting to actually happen. For example a few days ago I told a customer that he had disappointed his late father, and today he came in accusing me of pranking him: every night since then he has heard his father's voice yelling at him through his walls.
Part 2: Sam Parrotfish
I went to go see a psychic in order to find out more about myself. Almost at once the psychic began to gasp and back away. She said aloud, "You have no substance. You don't exist. You are only someone's story, maybe even someone's nightmare!" She was shaking.
She then relaxed and appeared normal. She said, "I'm sorry, I seem to be having an off day. My powers don't seem to be working. I'll give you your money back. I have a nasty headache and I am unable to read anything from you. Can I offer you a cup of tea since you came all this way, and I could use a cup?"
Part 3: Jayne D'Eau
I've lost almost three days total of time over the past month. After every absence (as I've taken to calling them) I wake up in a strange place. I woke up boarding a train to Ohio two days ago.
So yesterday, I went to see a sychic at this weird little place called The Purple Door. Some crazy lady who called herself Madame Esmerelda or whatever. When I walked in she stared at me for a few seconds, then smiled and said, "Finally, a normal one. I've been getting crazy people for a while now."
I laughed, then explained why I was there. She suddenly grew stony-faced and quietly told me to get out. I protested, with her screaming louder and louder to get me and my "disturbing possession" out of her shop. So I went.
That was yesterday. Today is exactly a month since I woke up in the park. And I have no clue what's going on. And possession? Possession isn't real. Right?

Annie's Dream
- In which a medium scares herself and others.
Part 1: Annie MacUda
I've been having a dream, almost every night. I'm sweeping up the store after a busy day, and there's a knock on the door. It's a customer from last week. They're angry because a reading I gave them came true. I had told them that a departed relative felt they had done badly in some way, and then they found an old letter from the departed saying exactly that. Or I said that a spirit was restless, and their house started showing signs of being haunted.

Part 4: Hepsebah Chastity Dobson
I dream that I'm this other woman who is very different: hair and spangles, beads and fluffy scarves and flowy tea. She has all these relationships with people and ghosts and things. I keep seeing myself and I'm all long-haired and flowy and tea and more tea. I wake up exhausted from all of the emotion and passion and drama and rage.
