Bob Hurst was an unremarkable athlete in high school, but is now a celebrated rookie of the Hamilton Tigercats. In high school he was one of a group of bullies a couple of years older than Jack Marks.
First appearance[edit]
Bob first appeared in Book 1, Chapter 2: The Burning Bottle. There was a confrontation between him and Jack, and it looked like Bob had some sort of supernatural backup — but it wasn't discovered.
Later appearances[edit]
In Book 1, Chapter 3: Follow Your Nose and Book 1, Chapter 4: The Glass Forge the group (sans Jack) encounters Bob Hurst again, without knowing it: as they later find out, one of the ghouls working for Xu Xi Meng was originally Bob. As of the end of Book 2, Chapter 1: Dinner Conversation, they do not know the circumstances surrounding his conversion into a ghoul.
