- The Valley of Cogs lies in the disputed region between Machina and Gearwhistle.
- Pamplemousse's compound sits near the Valley of Cogs.
- The Wood of Wiseness is where the members of the Guild of Unnaturals gather.
- Queen Selenium resides in the Prismatic Palace.

- The Dama are a tall, bipedal gazelle-like race.

- Legacy Issue: Idiocy is contagious, and a plague of Idiocy has been ravaging the land.
- Current Issue: A search for a successor is on because there is no known successor to the dying Queen Selenium.
- Impending Issue: Spies abound in Machina; even Hugo the Charitable is rumoured to be an agent of Gearwhistle.

Jan. 18, 2015: Welcome to Riverton.
- We flesh out the protagonists and introduce them to the city of Riverton.
- Geshon the Mouth tells the protagonists to seek out Samar the Caravan Master.
- Samar the Caravan Master convinces the protagonists to retrieve a strange statue from the Tower of the Serpents.
- Bloody Nikka promises gruesome revenge if the protagonists double-cross Samar.
