Going to see Mardi G[edit]
- Team has a training session in the DangerRoom against the Marauders. The simulation is the Mutant Massacre. They do well enough and earn praise from Professor K.
- Attend history, where classmate Charlotte is humiliated after popular boy Mason publically turns down her invitation to go to the Mardi G concert with her.
- Mardi G is in the midst of a very public feud with mutant hip-hop star Vicky Mirage. Some of Mardi's rhetoric is becoming anti-mutant.
- Chris Alex has a soft spot for Charlotte and tries to comfort her after her rejection. Charlotte wistfully expresses that she wished that Alex 'was always a boy'.
- Nikolai has an arm-wrestling match with his rival Lucia, which he loses (causing Trevor to lose money to Mason).
- After school, the rivalry continues, but this time, Nikolai wins as he manages to benchpress a little more than Lucia's new school record.
- Word comes that Mystique and her crew are going to attack Washington DC. She tells the kids to stay behind and basically lock-down the school.
- Callie, who also has tickets to the Mardi G concert, convinces her teammates that they should go because Charlotte could already be there, and there might be trouble due to Mardi's anti-mutant sentiment. (But really, Callie just wants to go to the concert)
- At the concert, trouble does indeed arrive, as a group called Mutant Power (comprised of Queen B, Princess Pounder, Surf Lord, and an unnamed shapeshifter) disrupt the proceedings. A fight ensues, but Mutant Power is defeated and Mardi B is saved (and gains a new fan in Trevor).
- The team returns to the school and Callie manages to convince Professor K that none of them should be punished.
- However, all might not be well as it seems the shapeshifter is at the hospital with Mardi B...
