Soon after, Jack learns that one of the police officers, Anthony Perry was injured while investigating a domestic disturbance. He was currently at the Henderson Hospital. Perry asked Jack to check it out for him, and get him some reading materials. Perry was less impressed with the choice of reading materials, but was too polite to say so. Perry also gave Jack a magic amulet attached to a squished silver locket to examine.
At the same time, Anton is enjoying some success with his dog-walking business. The police, however, are not impressed that Puke and Vomit have been walking around without a leash, and threatened to call the pound if that was not rectified. As a result, Anton trained the dogs to avoid the police.
One of Anton's clients, a woman named Kim, had said something terrible had happened in the neighborhood. Anton decides to investigate, meets up with Jack at the police station, and contacts David Shu. David, in turn, contacts Allan Tank and arranges for everyone to meet at Allan's pent house to attempt to learn more about the silver locket.
After doing several hours of preparations (and effectively turning Allan's work-room into a haunted house, and Allan's kitchen into a mini Indian restaurant), the little spirit of the locket was awoken. It confirmed that it was squished by a ward of direct force, and not much else. It also ate all of the Tutsi-Pops and black liquorish. The "magic amulet" that was attached to the locket was basically junk. The locket, inherited silver, probably saved Officer Perry's life. The inside of the locket contained a lock of hair, dust, a yellowing photograph, and the words "Never Forget" in quotation marks. Everyone decided the best thing to do was to go to the house where the disturbance took place.
The ward on the house had, apparently been reset, or were able to reset themselves. Or they used up only a fraction of their ability; which is scary since David's assessment of the ward indicated that it as VERY strong (OOC: strength 15). David began his preparations to take down the wards, while Jack and Anton hid. Allan played look-out.
Just before David began to take down the ward, a car drove by, ignoring Allan's attempts to stop it. Fortunately, a quick BUZZ on Jack's cell phone alerted him that a car was coming. David and Jack were spotted, and the car slowed down, did a 180 at the end of the street, and out came six ninjas.
In the course of several seconds, throwing stars were thrown, katanas were wielded, weighted chains were whipped around, gravity was manipulated, people were intimidated by growls, and an A-bomb was dropped on the street. (A-bomb being an Anton-bomb.) The people in the neighborhood wisely kept to themselves, closing their windows (against the smell) and not looking out the windows onto the darkened street.
Most of the ninjas ran away, leaving their car behind. }}{{#set: guest-starring = Anthony Perry }}
Where you live
- In which a domestic disturbance leads to an unsanctioned investigation and a lot of ninjas.
