It doesn't drive, but it is good for being out of the cold. He's been helping with the Bulldogs (handing out fliers, etc). One night (Nov 14th), he was walking a very feisty little dog near McMaster University. This dog found an irregularly shaped object in the grass, which the dog sniffed and ignored. Anton saw that it was a (recently) dead body! Quickly, he pulled out his cell phone and called 911. His exact words to the police were "I just found some dead guy!"
The police came, but but before they do, Anton goes looking / sniffing for the dog he was walking who wandered off. He smells some sort of animal refuse (and the dead guy). He doesn't smell any monsters, thankfully.
The dog ran across the street, diagonally, and just before Anton reached her, she jumped into the sewers. Anton waited and whistled. No response. It didn't seem like the dog was going to come back. The grate that Yapper squeezed through had some hair caught in it, as well as blood. Apparently, the dog didn't fit quite as well as it would have liked. Luckily (?) there was a man-hole cover near by, and Anton went into the sewers.
Jack and Allan had also found an entrance to the sewers. Allan had a flashlight, which was small and not very good for big areas, but it was better than nothing. Once facemasks and gloves from a first aid kit were put on, they went down into the sewers, gagging slightly. Eventually they met up with Anton. Apparently, the smell wasn't just the sewer.
Anton tells Jack and Allan about the dead body, which he had found approximately 20 mins ago. Jack catches Anton up on the bugs.
Anton had been walking up-stream. He probably would have seen something coming the way they had come, so they decide to continue to go upstream, with Anton acting pretentiously cop-like by holding his flashlight the way he saw cops do in cop shows, and using his fingers like a gun.
Anton and Jack talk about where Anton will live for the winter. Anton sniffs Allan to see if he had any KFC. Allan didn't.
As they continue to walk (either towards Mac or the Mountain... they aren't sure which), they hear an echoing clicking sound, similar to what was at the house. It sounds like many people were typing or snapping. Each side tunnel that the three went down proved to be the wrong way, because the clicking got softer whenever they left the main tunnel. That being said, the clicking sound never got any louder, even when Jack scoutted up ahead - that is how pervasive it was.
The surface of the sewer was very slick and crumbling. The three had to go in single-file, and occasionally had to press against the wall (yuch) until they saw a section that was a bit wider... but it was on the other side of the gushing sewage. Fortunately, there was a small bridge close by.
Since Jack could see better in the dark than the others, he was able to make out a small, dark shape in the middle of the bridge. Jack crept forward for a closer look. He was on the bridge before the shape turned around, revealing itself to be a small dog (that looked a bit like a sack of potatoes).
While this was happening, Anton was complaining about food... or more specifically, his lack of food. As they waited for Jack, Allan shifted his gear around and his flashlight shined on something: a man's face. The light also reflected off of safety clothing. The man didn't seem to notice the light, nor the Knight. His face was towards the wall. Although Allan's first instinct was to walk towards the man, something made him pause. Then, something started to move at his and Anton's feet!
Jack crept up to the little dog. He was worried that someone might also be following the bugs, so he hid in a shallow divet in the wall, ready to pounce.
Anton wanted to smack whatever was moving (to eat it). He tried to hit it with his (whole) bottle. There was a soft "squeek" as he hit it. A rat with a broken shoulder can be good eats! Anton saw more rats scampering around. They all tried to go back the way the three heroes came from, except for the one with the broken shoulder. That rat, squealing in agony, got into a small hole in the wall. Anton had broken his bottle, so glass was where the rats were.
The yippy dog heard the glass breaking, and turned around to see what was happening. The sewer was dark, and it had gotten wet with sewer water up to its shoulder at one point, so it could neither see nor smell very well at the moment. The sound of the broken glass caused one of her ears to twitch.
The man's face also paused at the sound of glass breaking, but he kept working after a moment.
The sound of the clicking and snapping almost stopped... and then Anton heared a dull splash as something landed in the muck. Allan heard something on the wall right beside him, like gravel was rolling down a hill. It came to a rest behind him. On the bridge, where Jack was hiding, there was a trickle of debris lightly falling, but now the whole ceiling was swarming with the dark bugs. The shapes gained in height but not in length. Several dropped off of the ceiling and landed on the bridge. They had between 16 and 20 legs.
Allan quickly snapped into action. For the past six months, he had been training in his dreams with a Di-Sidhe sword master. He instantly went into the Falling Leaf Kata, which was perfect for attacking falling enemies, as well as when one is surrounded.
The man who was facing the wall dropped some sort of tool. He slowly moved towards Allan. In the flickering flashlight, Allan saw that it was one of the fire-fighters - in particular, it was the fire-fighter who went into the crumbling building. The fire fighter's face was covered in dust, as was his uniform, and he was carrying something heavy: a fire axe, which he now held in both hands.
It was somewhat of a surprise when the fire fighter swung the axe at Allan. Allan yelped but was able to block it. The strike was strong, but Allan felt a surge of strength coming from his belt, and was able to turn aside the blow.
Jack decided to hide half under the bridge. He jumped off the side, and caught the edge so that he was still in shadow, but now out of eye-line too. He saw a man walking towards the bridge... but then he sees that it is two men walking single file: both students from the house - Joseph Saint and Walter Something-or-other. Both had some sort of pipe in their hands, and Joe was still wearing his sweat pants. Walter was not wearing anything. Joe scanned around, saw Allan and Anton, and began to whack away at the bridge. Walter soon joined him. They ignored the dog, and didn't see Jack. }}{{#set: image = File:Hamilton two-level sewer.jpg }}{{#set: starring = Allan Tarik }}{{#set: starring = Anton }}{{#set: starring = Jack Marks }}{{#set: guest-starring = Gerry Reyes }}{{#set: guest-starring = Joseph Saint }}{{#set: guest-starring = Walter }}
