GM: Dave
On Sunday night, everyone prepared for the heist. The plan was to take the artifacts on Tuesday night.
Anton will get caught by the pound, and get some medicine to slip into the guard's drinks. He will also let all of the dogs out of the pound and float PETA fliers everywhere. He had a crowbar and clothing hidden near the pound. He will also arrange for another distraction on the night of the theft, probably involving the Queen's Jubilee and something that is not seen as a crime (i.e. an anti-monarch pro-papist protest).
Allan will look for blueprints to the building on his lunch break. He will also try to get a copy of the golden dragon to swap.
Jack will hang out at the museum after class. He will try to observe and figure out the guard shifting. He'll also get the equipment that we need (ie ninja gear, electronics guy, etc). He will also forge a copy of the book.
Maia will take care of Cathy Ang and will keep her away at the proper time (and Dave manages to write that down upside down).
James was still knocked out. Hopefully he will wake up.
The ultimate plan is to do a simple distraction, smash and grab inside with a distraction outside. While planning, there was a discussion about doggy pants that went like this: Allan - "What am I? Your fairy godparent?" Anton - "Just putting it out there." Jack - "Doggy diapers?" Maia - "Castration?" Anton - "Igg!!" Jack - "It will eventually grow back..."
When trying to implement this plan, Jack goes to the museum but does not find any vulnerabilities. Apparently, this is a well built museum with an eye to security.
Anton finds out that the new security for the AGH (and soon to be for Cops) is a new corporation called Colossus Security Inc. He finds out that the typical hires are bad-asses (law, military or paramilitary experience required - all are trained in military traditions) thanks to a B&E artist named Josh. He also finds out that Josh's dog is a large, nasty, vicious pitbull named Petunia who is missing an ear and half her face from various fights.
Jack gets his equipment, and thinks the mission will be a challenge given the nature of their opponents.
During his lunch break, Allan manages to get the blueprints of the AGH. He finds a forgotten underground tunnel and knows exactly where the break room is. This information is forwarded.
Jack looks for disguises for everyone, as well as other equipment. The PCs are officially MacGuyver'd. Sadly, he did not get any light-enhancing goggles. Maybe when he is rich and famous.
Anton makes PETA fliers on MS Paint that says "We let the dogs out", and stashed his gear. He then turned into a dog, became a nuisance, and let himself be caught.
Allan was given an address of someone who could help make the dragon: 382 and 1/8 Suchnsuch Street. He is trying to keep this within his court, which is difficult for a court that doesn't officially exist. One quarter of the lot is a dog house. When Allan knocks, there is no response. He sends out his calling card into the dog house three times. The third time it blows back and hits him in the face. On the back, it is written 3x "come in". Allan did not notice the back before... Inside the house, Allan was almost nose-to-nose with the wrinkled brown guy. They haggle and agree upon two times the amount of high quality materials and other things in exchange for Peek crafting the item. (Peek - "This won't get me in trouble with a dragon, will it?" Allan, honestly - "I don't think so.") Through it all, they sip tea and eat Timbits.
While Jack and Allan sleep, Anton busts out. He turns into a human, unlatches the cage, turns back into a dog, goes outside and changes. Before, Anton had a liquid lunch and decided to bug the other dogs. When Anton busts out, the other dogs start to bark attracting the attention of the night watchman. Anton trips the watchman, and the poor old man pops his knee out of joint. Anton finds the guard's keys. He manages to get some drugs, but the guard returns with a tranq gun. Anton took what he could (not much), got shot in the leg but managed to escape. Although he was tempted to have some of that happy juice then and there, he didn't.
Allan had weird dreams (as usual) and a regular day at work. He is happy his boss is so easy going but does not expect stellar grades.
Anton arranges for the demonstration(s) and protest(s) via Twitter and his telephone contacts. He arranges for the protests to be early/late - when the Queen wakes up. (There is then an OOC discussion about making fun of everything via South Park.) Anton rumour mongers all night. It starts out polite but by the end of the night every post has deteriorated. Anton also manages to get media coverage on this via Dana Hawthorne and Veronica Mars. When he asked Jack for Veronica's number, Jack's response was "Ya... Sure... Why not..."
That afternoon, Jack worked on his book. It looks pretty darn accurate.
Anton managed to get a van. It smells. He also picks up the dragon statue as per Allan's instructions. He has a note from Allan and appears in dog form. He thinks that Peek sort of looks like Yoda. Peek doesn't seem confused that a dog requests the statue, but gets upset at when Anton drops Tims and Walmart cards.
Allan goes shopping for his requirements, and when they all gather, Allan preforms his ritual. The ritual's effects is protective mental armour. It simply involves breathing in the smoke of some herbs (mostly mundane, a few from the Never Never). As a result, a fine mist spreads off of their bodies when they are standing still. Unfortunately, Allan got slightly electrocuted when he stood too close to an electric plug during the ritual, and the mist seeped from him into the plug. Zap. Ouch... Book {{{book number}}}
