This is a Fate Core campaign started in January 2016.

Setting[edit]

The Monarchdom of Machina sits between the Corporate Nation of Gearwhistle and the Frothy Sea.

Protagonists[edit]

Kettel - Out-of-retirement Dama engineer. Frequently the butt of racist jokes.

The Dama are a nomadic race that resemble bipedal antelope, tall and lithe with long upward pointing horns. They live in herd-like communities, and trade unique goods and services as they travel from place to place over the course of each year. Dama rarely settle into permanent homes, and even fewer of them ever make livings in cities.

Kettel was an engineer in Machina's capital city. She spent decades working on some of the kingdom's most ambitious projects when its industrial revolution took off.

Being part of a tiny minority in the city, Kettel has heard every racist joke or remark ever made. Usually, she can brush them off and carry on. The worst offenders become victims of petty revenge and a little mechanical sabotage. She feels there's nothing wrong with forcing them to pay a hefty premium for her skills, which are always in demand in the industrial city. Now retired, she doesn't treat these requests with any sort of urgency.

Kettel is assisted by a small drone/flying gyro, PAK (Personal Assistant to Kettel).
