  • Under nominal jurisdiction of Pecus Minor Commonality Hub.
  • Median 1300 ly from Manhome.
  • PrimSurvSubBur survey completion 192.014 out of Space Force Hub Winter Palace.

Historical Note[edit]

The subsector was named by PrimSurvSubBur first entry Event Horizon Probe Salmon-E-785 "Dundee Rover/Spirit of '25" for the ancient historical designation of a distinctive planetary nebula (α:67:-4). A pre-Fall of Man image is available of this nebula.

Operational Remit[edit]

SpaceForceInstSecSurvSubBur Team has the following remit in the Ghost of Jupiter Subsector, in no priority:

  1. Itemize and categorize biospheres for further investigation BioInvServ.
  2. Locate and survey lost colony civilizations for assessment by SCIForceInst EvalBur; Pre-Stage-Zero Contact Protocol authorized.
  3. Chembu Deep Space Bioship Autumn Tidal Flow was last reported in Ghost of Jupiter Subsector 188.673. Chembu representatives of the Planetary Intelligence have requested all Commonality affiliated vessels conduct surveillance for Autumn Tidal Flow, give aid as necessary, and report status as soon as feasible.
  4. Multiple reports (Event Horizon Probe, Deep Space Bioship Autumn Tidal Flow, contracted corporacy deep space resource survey probes) have been received regarding a high volume of Predecessor and/or pseudo-Predecessor artifacts in Ghost of Jupiter subsector, particularly in orbits around brown dwarfs but also on or orbiting other bodies. Catalog and preliminarily survey such sites as feasible for assessment by SpaceForceInst DeepArchBur.
  5. SCIForceInst MonBur, Tormipidee Pansectorate reports minor corporacy and "dissident" factions targeting Ghost of Jupiter subsector for non-culturally acceptable activity. Monitor for such activity, address it as feasible, and report.
