Background[edit]

Welcome to the short version! It may be expanded a little in future. The long version probably won't be added.

Growing up[edit]

Kratos was born on Acheron, several fragments after his sister, Adrasteia. His father Kydoimos was a tribesman, and his mother, Adrestia, one of the Sephii-readied 'courtiers' of the system. Stuck between the world of the tribes and that of the local elite, Kratos and Adrasteia truly belonged to neither, and thus became close friends only with each other.

Starting out[edit]

When the rebellion on Acheron broke out, their little area did not join in right away. Later, however, Kratos's mother was selected and dragged off to be given to the Sephii to help fund the Ninet's part of the war. His father, along with several others enraged at the particular choice of captives, launched an attack and killed some of the Ninets before being captured and executed. Adrasteia, in response, contacted the rebels, dragging Kratos along with her, and helping spread the revolution across the planet, a time during which the training their father gave both in warfare paid of; Kratos served as a soldier and bodyguard, while the more adaptable Adrasteia served to organize things. Eventually, the Ninets retreated, after a long period of guerrilla warfare.

Moment of crisis[edit]

With the war at its end, despite everyone having wanted the Ninets gone, it was a bad thing for the unification of the tribes, and they broke into war once again. Adrasteia's group was but one of the many factions seeking to establish unity, but, perhaps, one of the more effective ones. However, while Kratos simply hardened to the world as a result, Adrasteia, as the 'general', suffered from guilt at the deaths of the other tribes, and their territory claimed began to crumble at the edges. The difference in views caused a rift between the siblings, and, in one of the strikes the Ninets launched to establish the viability of beginning the war once more, Adrasteia was captured, presumably to be given to the Sephiites.

Kratos, left without a cause, and Adrasteia gone, wandered. Though not taking part in any conflicts for long - his purpose was to find a way off the planet - he kept alive and earned his keep, both things requiring violence. Eventually, he found a group that had captured a Ninet pilot and ship, and, commandeering both at weapon-point, he made his way to the Sephii trading point, where he traded the pilot for information and for transit, returning with them... but, it seemed, Adrasteia was not at the Sephii homeworld,
